Uniform Information

Students are to wear the uniform in a professional manner, in keeping with their dignity, as human persons.

The uniform should be worn appropriately and be clean, neat, pressed, mended, and complete.

#1 dress days will be announced ahead of time. They include such events as school photo day, open house days, special school functions, etc. The regular school uniform is the required attire for most field trips, unless otherwise specified.

The crest found on various pieces of the uniform consists of two Hawthorn flowers, symbolic of a Hawthorn education: of a sturdy, resilient nature, beautiful, and functional.

Please note that a number of pieces of our uniform have change as per the picture. Call the front office if you have any question.

Undergarments should be in a colour or tone that is not visible through the blouse.

Special club wear (student council sweaters, grad sweaters, etc.) to be worn on designated days

Shoes must be all black and have closed heels and toes.
All shoes must have non-marking soles.
Shoes are to be polished.
Laces must be tied.
Maximum heel height is one inch. TOMS style shoes are not permitted.
Recommended shoe types include loafers, Oxford-style or similar styles.
